What are exactly are you trying to do? Import contacts from Gmail? Or
are you trying to send to Gmail recipients or via a Gmail account? Or
something else?

800cccdd is an IMAP error code, so I'll guess you are trying to access
your Gmail account using IMAP.

Gmail doesn't currently have detailed instructions for Windows Live
Mail (WLM). But you can use the Outlook Express or Windows Mail
instructions as examples since the programs are similar.

How are you trying to get your contacts from Gmail?

That's not the complete error message.
Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.

pyrohlf,

I had this same problem with my new Windows 7 Toshiba laptop. Windows Live
Mail worked great for a few weeks but then, possibly coincident with the
installation of new security software, I started getting the 800cccdd error!
I finally solved the problem by right-clicking each email account name in
Windows Live Mail, deleting that account, and then re-adding the account.

Hope I don't have to do the delete-add thing every time I use that laptop!

Good Luck,

It's probably appropriate to inform people that deleting a pop3 account removes the account, folders, and all messages from WLM and
also the hard drive.(ie.. backup important messages in advance if not still residing on the pop3 account web server or archived
elsewhere)!
