Hotmail is "Windows Live". What used to be called, "MSN Hotmail" is now
called, "Windows Live Hotmail". More confusing still, is that MS has put out
a desktop email client called, "Windows Live Mail". These current names were
changed from different, yet similar names in use earlier.
Windows Live Mail - A desktop client akin to MS Outlook Express (through
Windows XP) and Windows Mail (Windows Vista only).
Windows Live Hotmail - A web email service, accessed using a web browser.
