About a two months ago I started having problems geting into my hotmail
through windows live. The new account/login page would come up, I would type
my pass word in and it would allways come back password not correct. Then I
would reset my password, try again and get the same result incorrect
password. With help from MS Support I started ie8 with addons disabled and
that worked. I tryed disabling the addons one at a time as support suggested
to find the one causing the problem without success. Now sometimes with
addons disabled the windows live new account/login page comes up and I have
the same results. I have deep scaned my system with AVG, ZoneAlarm, Windows
Defender, Registry Mechanic, and Windows Live Care. Live Care picked up a
Trogan Horse and removed it. Needless to say my system does run faster now,
but I still have email problems. HELP!

System info;
Sony VIAO laptop, CPU T2060 @1.60GHz
Windows VistaHome Premium 6.0.6002 SP-2
firewall (ZoneAlarm Security Suite version:8.0.298.035)
AVG Anti-Virus Free ver. 8.5.392

Where are you seeing this "new account/login page"? I don't recall seeing
it in Windows Live Mail. By any chance are you using Windows Live Hotmail,
which is a browser-based email service? If so, its user help forum is here:

Gary, I'm not sure. On my "home page" there is a blue box with the word
"Hotmail" in it. I just right clicked on it and under properties this is the
URL that was displayed, http://mail.live.com/ So which one is it? I like
Hotmail and have for years but I'm not impressed with "Windows Live" at all.
Don't get me wrong I do appreciate your help. Thanks!

That's definitely the web-based version of Hotmail. For help with that,
see http://windowslivehelp.com/

Hotmail is "Windows Live". What used to be called, "MSN Hotmail" is now
called, "Windows Live Hotmail". More confusing still, is that MS has put out
a desktop email client called, "Windows Live Mail". These current names were
changed from different, yet similar names in use earlier.

Windows Live Mail - A desktop client akin to MS Outlook Express (through
Windows XP) and Windows Mail (Windows Vista only).

Windows Live Hotmail - A web email service, accessed using a web browser.
