I have 'MS Office 2003' and use 'Outlook 2003' for my mail & calendar. I
also have the 'Windows Live Desktop' & use 'Live Mail' (x...@live.com). I was
looking at the 'OutlookConnector.exe' program and it always refers to 'Live
Hotmail'.

I am probably confused, but, I believe that the 'WLM' & 'Live Hotmail' are
different.

Is there anyway to use the connector with WLM (not hotmail) to get the mail
from 'Live Mail' (xxx@.live.com) into 'Outlook 2003'?

Or does this 'OutLook.exe' program work with both?

Outlook Connector adds http access to a Hotmail account in Outlook.

WLMail is an email program that can access pop3, IMAP, or http accounts. It
runs on XP, Vista, or Win 7.

Thanks -

Is there some method of accessing my 'Live Mail' from 'MS Outlook 2003'? I
used the following:

Incoming mail server: pop3.live.com
Incoming mail server port: 995
SSL required

Outgoing mail server: smtp.live.com
Outgoing mail server port: 25
SSL required

I can connect to the incoming server, but, it fails when trying to connect
to the outgoing server.

If you didn't check Leave a copy of messages on the server, the message will
have been moved from the online Hotmail Inbox to the Deleted folder. If you
don't want the messages permanently deleted, logon to Hotmail with your
browser and move the messages out of the Deleted folder.

Ensure you have the checkbox, "My server requires authentication" enabled
(on the Servers tab in the account setup properties), and, on the Advanced
tab SSL should be checked for both POP and SMTP, and SMTP should be on port
587.

Too much work..if your Live.com account is setup using http(not Pop3) in WLM.

Install the Outlook Connector in Outlook 2003
Setup the x...@live.com account in the Outlook Connector(it will setup as an http account)

With both WLM and the Outlook Connector setup for http, the folders and messages will be the same and remain synchronized in each
email client.

Using http, eliminates the necessity for using the pop3 server..

If you prefer Pop3 access(downloads only the contents of the live.com Inbox)for the live.com, then as previously instructed..to
read mail in both places, then at least one client has to be configured to Leave messages on the server.
