The next version will be in Wave 4 and if past practice is followed....beta, RC or RTW. The release date for any updated version
has not been made available.

The latest we've *spotted* is, I think, 15.0.1141.0526. The last
group of digits is the 'release' date - here 26 May - so there have
undoubtedly been many versions since then. The 6 February version
Ron quotes and you have is the latest released to the public.

How does Windows Live Mail update? right now, I am using the .0206 version
of WLM.. Does the upgrade to the client come though Windows Update or is
there another way to check to see if we have the, excuse the pun, " FRESHEST
VERSION"

Fyi...Windows Live Mail is capable of updating via Microsoft Update but that feature is not fully enabled for deployment via that
route.

Fyi...I'm not experience Outbox or duplicate reply problems...you might consider looking elsewhere for causes(e.g. AV program, AV
program email scanning, etc)

With WLMail you have even less (than none?) reasons to use e-mail scanning
in your AV program.
What "e-mail scanning" does is scan the data stream while if flows from the
server to your e-mail client, or vice-versa. This means the AV has to be in
the middle (between the e-mail client and the e-mail server), and this is
the source of the problems.
WML stores message on disk in individual *.EML files. The AV's "resident
shield"/"real-time scanner"/ etc does verify files that are acted upon, so
it detects the virus as soon as WLM fetches the message, while it tries to
write this message to disk. There's nothing to gain from scanning the
messages twice (1st time while downloading them, 2nd time while writing them
to disk), with the same AV and at a split-second time interval. (I have
actually seen this happening, as Hotmail's junk filter does not do such a
good job. While syncronising the account, AVG's "resident shield" popped-up
and signaled the virus, offering to quarantine or delete the *.EML file.)
