When I start my desktop Windows Live a sign-in window appears. My username
name appears OK and then below, a area to enter my password. I check the
'remember password' box but every time I logon anew it asks me for my
password again. Is there any way that I can get the 'remember password box'
to remember my hotmail password?

Sign in is for a Live ID. Are you using your Hotmail name and password for
the Live ID?

Yes I am. What is the difference between a Live ID and a paid for Hotmail
ID? and how can I get a LIVE ID?

The password for the Live ID can and should be different than the Hotmail ID
password.

I'm not sure you need another Live ID(your Hotmail email address is already a Live ID)

Does you Hotmail username and password combination work when accessing
1. http://mail.live.com
and
2. http://account.live.com

Are you asked to verify your logon by a prompt to enter 6 or 8 characters in a box with either (1) or (2) ?

Did this problem occur prior to installing the latest version of WLM 14.8089.0726 ?
If not, is this your first installation and use of WLM.

Hi Winston:
Both web sites use the same logonid and password which are my original
Hotmail and Password.
I am not asked to verify my logon or password with either 1 or 2.
This is my first installation and use of WLM, my prior mail client was
Outlook Express.
I would like to keep everything the same as it is now but have the password
remembered,
Hope you can help me, thanking you in advance.
Patrick
