What account are you talking about?
Who is the provider for that account?

Hotmail account? Live account? MSN account? Closed due to inactivity,
abuse, what? If you log in to your Hotmail/Live/MSN account once a month or
so, it won't close. Paid accounts or any account provided as a partner
service add-on should "never" close, as long as you pay your bill. If your
account was closed by mistake, maybe customer support can help you. From
Hotmail portal www.hotmail.com, Options, More Options, Help Central. If
using Classic portal Help Central is bottom right of the page.

"What happens if I close my account?

Close your account
When you close your account you permanently delete your registered
information (This is information given to Windows Live, including your
e-mail address and password.) and credentials (Unique information that you
use to access restricted resources. For Windows Live, credentials include
your e-mail address and password. They may also include a mobile phone
number and PIN, a smart card, or a security key.) , as well as your
Messenger contact list and Windows Live contacts. You'll be unable to sign
in to any Windows Live sites or services."

I am guessing from the above that your e-mails are all gone, but if the
account was closed by mistake, perhaps you can get them restored. Page to
contact Windows Live/Hotmail/MSN Customer support.
