: I haven’t managed to find a way to define short cuts in Windows Life
Desktop
: for special signs, or to find an option of inserting symbols (as in
MSWord).
: Thanks,

Hold <Alt> while you key in the digits "133" on your numeric keypad and you
should see "à" (without the quotes, of course) appear at the cursor.
<Alt>+135 gets ç. Some character sets require 4 digits, starting with zero.
<Alt>+0241 makes ñ.
For the Character Map showing the whole chart, click All Programs |
Accessories | System Tools | Character Map. In addition to seeing the codes
to type, you can also Copy one or more characters directly from here into
your document. If you need this often, you can create a shortcut and/or put
it in your Quick Launch toolbar.
