There are multiple Sent Items folders. Each mail account has one and
there is one in the Storage Folders used for newsgroup postings.

Make sure you are looking in the right one depending on the mail account
or newsgroup posting you are doing.

If you still don't see the messages in a right Sent Items, while viewing
the folder select View, Show or Hide and make sure that Show All
Messages is selected.

Since this is the Windows Live Mail discussion group, I will assume you are
using it. Sent email should go to the "Sent items" folder of the account
which you used to send it. Sent news articles should go to the "Sent items"
folder under "Storage folders".

If your view option is set to show all messages, email messages should be in the respective account sent items folder.

If looking in the Quick Views 'All sent items' folder, a column titled 'Account' can be added in the Message pane(usually the
center pane when the Preview pane is enabled) to show the sending account.
