Hello,
My laptop was stolen and I was using Windows Mail. Now I am using my desktop
and wanted to know if their is a way to get the old emails from windows Mail.
I imported the emails, but they only give me the new emails coming in and I am
in need of all the old ones. I am using Outlook now but could use any mail
application if I can recieve the old ones.

Was the Windows Mail account a POP3 account? By default, Windows Mail
deletes successfully downloaded messages from the server. You should
take a look on the server (via webmail) to see what is there, but I wouldn't
get my hopes up.

If you were using Windows Mail your email account was configured to use pop3 or IMAP.
If the former and the account was not configured to leave on the server, most web servers after a copy of the message is downloaded
to a local client(e.g. Windows Mail) move the original message from your account's web server Inbox to the web server account's
Deleted folder and then purged automatically after a preset time period(e.g. 5 days). Check your web server.

If the account on Windows Mail was using the IMAP protocol, setting up the account using IMAP protocol in Outlook should sync all
available folders and messages.

If the messages were not previously backed up(using Windows Mail export function or manually copied to an Explorer folder[drag and
drop]) and not on the web server they may be gone for good.
