Hi, if I use window live mail to download/send mail for my hotmail ac, do i
still need to log it hotmail.com for at least 3 month to keep it active ?
Also, what about gmail and yahoo mail.
Thanks a lot, Danny

Using an account through Web access or by accessing with an email client
keeps an account active.

No,
Even if you didn't use WLM or sign on to the account in the web UI, the expiration due to inactivity is now 270 days, not 3
months.
- Note: The only exception - new accounts do need to be used within 10 days(not 270)

Gmail and Yahoo, you'll have to see their help to determine if pop3 or imap access in a local email client qualifies as usage
preventing expiration.
