... our sole method of telecommunication saw us tethered to a black box
bolted to the kitchen wall. No need to spend countless hours trying to
squeeze information out of Gary, Noel, Winston, slk759 and other binary
mavens. Just pick up the device and speak. Romantic, was it not?

Yes but you could not sit thousands of miles away and see the person you are
conversing with. You also could not see your grandkids on a regular basis
through the wonders of video conferencing.

You give too much credit to technology and the rest of us..
In reality we're all sitting relatively close by in the back room of a bar in Grand Falls smoking cubans, eating chili-dogs, hoping
Yzerman and Co. can achieve their objective and waiting for your next question which we get on an 1973 IBM teletype keyboard only
terminal.

Oh yeah, I forgot about our "party line"... OK, so it wasn't that romantic,
slk759. Thanks for the reality check... God, how I hate reality.

Oh, THAT Yzerman!

Yes, we have some good hockey players from this little Canadian province of
500,000 souls... Danny Cleary, Micheal Ryder, Ryan Clowe, etc.
Unfortunately, they too know squat about WLM.

Yes, that one... 'The Captain'
Now he and Babcock can visit their birthplace without a shadow over their head.

Win or lose, Mike's always the perennial recipient of the NHL's Follicular
Award, as suitably glorified here:

Personally, I think it's a Ken doll transplant, but who's to say?

P.S. Lest I be rebuked for failing to stay on topic... I hate WLM.
