Right now, my email address contains underscores; would like to make it easer
to type.

There is no such thing as a "WLM" address.
WLM will handle just about any email address you throw at it.
Email addresses are provided my mail service providers.
If your provider is Live.com or Hotmail.com, just go to their website and
apply for a new email address.

I went to hotmail.com, but don't see where to apply for a new email address?
How do I know which of the two is my hotmail provider?

How do I know which of the two is my mail service provider? I clicked on
Hotmail.com, but did not see where on their website I apply for a new email
address? Lucy, very very very retired--so talk real slow!

You can't change an email address. You have to get a new one in the format
you want....

That is the link to create a new Live ID. A Live ID logins you in to Lives
services such as Messenger, Calendar, Contacts, ........
That is not the same thing as a Hotmail address.

Ron, thank you! thank you! thank you! Another question. I signed up for both
Windows Live Hotmai and MSN Hotmail--dont' know why, but because I could. Now
I am wondering what is the difference between the two. How do I call them up,
bookmark each email address?

For free accounts there is no real difference between a @msn.com email address
and a @hotmail.com or @live.com email address. Just a matter of personal
preference. They all have the same features and use the same mail servers.

You can access email for any of those addresses either via the web:
http://mail.live.com or http://hotmail.com, or by setting them up in your
Windows Live Mail program.
