"Contacts" duplicate entries...PLEASE!

To Microsoft team,

Please make it possible (include in a new update) to check for duplicate
entries on "Contacts" from HDD (straight from WLM software) too and not only
from web, with all the features included.

What's wrong with using Hotmail's contacts editor?
It does an excellent job at ferreting out duplicates.

It depends upon where you are viewing the contacts..
In Windows
In WLM with a Live ID signon, without a Live ID...

i.e. while duplicates can be present, how WLM is run makes a difference in how to address the issue.

Not everyone wants to use Hotmail... My email address predates Hotmail, and
I have no wish to change...

I never use Hotmail for email. I only use it so I have a Live ID (required for
many Microsoft professional sites), and it allows me to keep a synchronized
copy of my contacts on their server. This has already saved me once when my
laptop was stolen earlier this year.
