I have had Hotmail account for the last 10 years and now using the
present version of Live Mail. When I checked my mail tonight I had received
an official looking email that said it was Hotmail Service and due to
congestion due to anonymous users some accounts were going to be deleted
including mine. I don't know if this email is actually from Microsoft or is
fake fishing for info. I'm afraid to reply and give them my address,
password, and country which the email wanted. This smacks of fake but I'm
not sure. My Windows Live doesn't allow me to send an Email to Microsoft
about my Account to find if this is legitimate or not. Has anyone else
gotten these emails in the last day or so? I don't trust this at all.

really pretty simple.
right click on message, select properties and check the addresses it came from.

no need to OPEN the mail at all.
