Whenever someone is using a file, it is syncing that version of the file
whether you've saved it or not. This is causing duplicate files. How can this
be fixed?

Wrong newsgroups. Foldershare is no more. Windows Live Sync:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.live.sync&cat=en_US_2d6bb1ba-2ee0-4887-8f7c-d1ae507959d1&lang=en&cr=US

Or the forum found at http://windowslivehelp.com for help and support for
Windows Live Sync.

In any event, the duplicate file is *only* created if the file is saved. Many
programs will open and update the file, saving it before you manually save,
hence the sync. And it only happens if the file is updated in more than one
location and Live Sync doesn't know which one you want.
