I have created a skydrive folder that I have permissioned to several people.
Each person has been succesful in accessing the files in the folder using the
VIEW FOLDER button in the Microsoft sent email that I triggered. Later they
can see the folder by again using the email button. How can they see the
folder from inside their Windows Live account at a later date? Their
skydrive only shows their own folders and not the shared folders. Are we
misunderstanding how this should work? Ideas? Thanks

Only if those people are given Full access (permission to Modify/Add
contents), the folders would be accessible from their Live a/c. For
normal sharing (access contents only), they need to visit using the link
you gave separately. You can test it out if you have two Live A/cs by
giving the other A/c full access.

Your comments are exactly what I thought. The problem is that when a person
with full rights logs in with their own WindowsLive account and selects
SkyDrive, they see their own SkyDrive rather than the SkyDrive of the
original author. The directory in question belongs to the original author
and is in that author's SkyDrive. Where does the authorised user look to see
the permissioned directory other than going back to the email and using the
access button? Ideas? I must be blind as I can not see any menu selections
that show the desired directory.

You could try this: Instead of logging out of Live a/c through the Mail
tab, click on More/ Skydrive and logout. This will exit to a log-in
screen than getting redirected to MSN page. Log-in again, and you should
be able to see all Skydrive contents for which you have full rights.
Since you mentioned already having given full access, this should work.
Also, check if those contacts are added to your Network.

Forgot adding: When logged into Skydrive, on the left under 'Your
History', you would see the contact links for which you have permissions.

Brilliant Mohan

I followed your instructions and all works fine now.
Not everyone realised that the SkyDrive folders of others will not appear in
the RECENT FOLDERS list nor in the VIEW ALL area but rather can only be
accessed through the YOUR HISTORY - Sub-Level SkyDrive name. I struggled for
hours on this - you probably save me more hours and tension! Thanks again

Glad that it worked. So I presume you see the below when clicking links
under 'Your History':
When shared with Full access: View those particular folders
With View only access: Only the Public folder
