Can anyone direct me to a newsgroup like this one that's about Outlook from
Office 2000 Pro (not Outlook Express)?

Thanks!

Cody

microsoft.public.outlook.general will give you a good start. Just select your news server then click "Newsgroups and go through the list.

In news:b9opr6$l3asa$1...@ID-137389.news.dfncis.de,
Cody <dontsendanybloo...@please.com> spoke unto us:

I'm assuming that you have already searched through the newsgroups available
and have found:

microsoft.public.outlook

This group is what I use for outlook sans-express questions.

When I search through the newsgroups with OE, I cannot see the entire name
of the newsgroup. That's why I asked here, rather than subscribing to
thousands of groups to try and find one on Outlook.

Thanks,

Cody

You can widen the column that displays the group names by dragging the
vertical bar between the column headers to the right. (You should also get
the full name popping up if you hover your mouse over an individual group
name, afair).

Or, click in the Newsgroup section and hold down the Control key while you
press the plus (+) sign on the number pad.
The window itself can also be dragged larger.

Then you're not doing it right - it's the way OE works. Any column in OE
(and most other apps) can be widened by dragging the | between the column
headers.

Don't overlook the facts that you can resize the Newsgroup Subscriptions
window and resize each field in its tabs. If the field size isn't
big enough for any particular newsgroup name simply press
Ctrl-NumPlus (the + sign of the Numeric keypad) to resize
it for that name.

To find all the English language outlook newsgroups then just
type public.outlook in the /Display newsgroups which contain:/
field. (Typing outlook. without the public. was my first guess
but the trailing period eliminated a group you might want to see.
fortunately outlookexpress newsgroups don't fall in the same
public. hierarchy; otherwise the lack of a period would pick up
some of them too.)
