I managed to get address list onto new PC plus old emails. However I have
lost them on the old PC which I am still using til everything transferred
over. When I say lost there are icons all over my desktop which appear to
relate to the missing ones. Question though how do I get them back into
outlook express. I have also noticed that everytime I use OE I get another
icon appearing on my desktop.
Please I need step by step.
thanks

Try File/Import Export and point it to that folder and see what happens.
Make sure that folders.dbx is in there cause if it isn't, you're SOL.

Me thinks you're right. Once you get it sorted out, download, install and
use this:
http://www.oehelp.com/OEBackup/Default.aspx
It's free and if you back up frequently and save the back up to another
drive or CD, all you have to do is click on Complete Restore and it will put
all your OE stuff back exactly the way it was when you last backed up.
