Before my hard drive died, when I would click on a link to send email, >aka
my resume on monster<, my email address would show up to tell the receiver it
was me sending. Now all I get is To,CC or BCC and Subject. I know this is a
field in Outlook (not express) and I am sure I never used Outlook to send.
Unless I somehow made Express my default and it took the settings from
Outlook. I doubt it !!!

From http://www.fjsmjs.com/OE/defaultl.htm

Go to Start | Run and type this command, with the double quotes and spaces:

"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /reg

and then make sure that OE is selected as the default mail program in both
IE and OE.

If that isn't enough, see this article:
"Send To" and E-mail Links Do Not Work Using Outlook Express as Default:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306098

You might also want to try this:

Restores OE to the E-mail clients list in Internet Options
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/oe_client.htm

To set Outlook as the default mail client,- Go to Start, Run - Type in the
following with quotation marks and press OK
"C:\program files\microsoft office\office\outlook.exe" /checkclient
For more information on Outlook see:
http://www.slipstick.com/config/defaultmailer.htm

You don't see the From line in the message composition window Unless you have more than
one mail account defined in OE at Tools, Accounts, Mail.

The From field lets you select from the multiple mail accounts.

If you have just one mail account, it does get filled in and the recipient will get it.

OE builds the From line using Tools,Accounts, Mail, Properties, General: Name and E-mail
address.
