Did you actually PAY for the Hotmail account? Microsoft discontinued
WebDAV access to *freebie* Hotmail accounts (and Outlook Express uses
WebDAV to communicate to the Hotmail servers). If you want OE to
connect to Hotmail, you'll have to pay for a Hotmail Plus account. If
you want a free ride, you'll have to use their webmail interface.

The Hell with them and their bloated toys. Seems like M$ has just more of a
money maker than a software engineer...

Effective 27 Sept-04, new users no longer have free access to their Hotmail
accounts in OE/OL, Anver. Such access now requires that you subscribe to
Hotmail Plus at US$19.95/year. See www.hotmail.com.
