OE>tools>accounts>select each account in turn>properties>General> and ensure
that you have selected 'include this account when checking mail'.
You can direct her mail to a newly created folder with a message rule.
With more than one account set up in OE, the from window in a new mail, will
have a drop down arrow, to choose which account you send from.

If that email address is just an alias to a single mailbox, mac's advice is
the only way it will work. But, if that email address is a separate mail
account, with its own login, you could set up Identies in MSOE; one for you,
another for your wife. If you can do that, be sure that you don't "X" out
(use the 'X' button in the upper right corner of the window); use the "File
> Exit and Log Off Identity" menu. Otherwise, MSOE opens in the last
Identity that was used when window was closed.
