Users must log on to their Hotmail account at least every 30 days or the account becomes inactive/deleted. Such may be the case in your examples.

| Dear all,
|
| I hope someone can offer some advice, I do not actually
| have a hotmail address so this is something I have not
| experienced before. Firstly, I received an email from a
| hotmail address in Sweden that needed responding to. I
| replied on the same day but received an error message
| saying that it was not a valid address. Secondly, a friend
| tried to log onto her hotmail address ( she had actually
| managed to do this previously on my PC )and it would not
| let her. Thirdly I tried a hotmail address in Australia -
| there is a fair possibilty that it does not exist anymore -
| so this could be a red herring - and yet again the reply
| was that the address did not exist. I am wondering if I
| have inadvertently changed some settings or maybe this is
| just coincidence.
|
| Does this strike a cord with anyone, I would be very
| grateful for any advice ?
|
| Many thanks
| Chris Brown
