OE file corrupted, can it be fixed?

Hello all,

One of my folders in OE6 started losing its emails. But when I look at the
file size it seems correct, so I am guessing that perhaps the file itself
became corrupted.

So I'm looking for one of two things:

Is there an inexpensive app out there that tries to repair corrupt OE6
folder files?

or

Does anyone know the formating of the file? Maybe I can write my own?
