1. Wait until IE fully loads before typing in Address Bar;
2. Disable searching from the Address Bar; and/or
3. Remove any unnecessary toolbars and Add-ons: They all must load in a new
IE window OR tab before it becomes fully functional.

Tried to find this in the internetexploere.general but with no
success, so I'm back here
I can wait till it finished faffing around, but don't want to waste
the time. I've never had to do it before in the last 15 years or so.
I'm waiting to type into the Google bar, not the Address bar - it is
Google that displays Searching.. If you put the cursor into here, it
moves over to the address bar on its own once it has settled down.
I don't know how to disable searching form the Address Bar, but since
this isn't where Searching is displayed, is this what I should be
doing.
I can't tell what Add-ons are needed, as most of the names are
meaningless to me.
