I can't enable the auto complete function in IE6. I downloaded this version
of IE from the MS site.

I click on tools, internet options, content and auto complete.

The web addresses and forms boxed set up to be checked or not. However, the
user name and prompt me to save passwords boxes are "grayed out" so I can't
enable them or check them.

Is there a fix for this?

Regards,

Bill

Hi, try this.
1. Tools / Internet Options... / Advanced tab.
Check "Use inline AutoComplete.". Apply / OK
2. Internet Options... / Content tab / AutoComplete
Then choose your options from there. OK. Apply / OK
