I just upgraded my OS from Win98SE to WinXPpro and find
that Internet Explorer 6 (which worked fine on 98SE)
doesn't automatically insert "http://" when I type in a
www.xxxx.xxx address.

I can't seem to find a setting for this and have never
used a browser that didn't autofill this info.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

Thanks,

S

Shinken,
Some program (usually spyware\parasite) may have overridden the URL prefix
setting?
