IE6 steals focus when the page finished downloading and this behaviour
is annoying :( I want to prevent it. Well, I tried the Tweak UI and it
did not work out... I tried to turn off the "Prevent applications from
stealing focus" clicked ok, then turned it on, clicked ok again. Seems
nothing happens, besides the value of the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control
Panel\Desktop\ForegroundLockTimeout" change to (DWORD) '98 3a 00 00'.
Should I restart the computer or something?
Does anyone here have experienced this behaviour? How do I fix it?
please...
thanks in advance,
Felipe

I am experiencing this exact same behavior, and it's very frustrating. As
others have said, I tried the Tweak UI with no luck. Please, someone in the
know help out on this one...
Thanks,
Mike

Here try this out: About 2 weeks ago I didn't have any problems with
IE6, But after I installed iMesh, ie6 started to change focus every
time something loads up in a page. I tried Tweak UI and it didn't
work. So I got the latest update for Lavasoft's Ad-aware spyware
removal tool ( from: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ ) and cleaned up some
of the added reg entries and then rebooted ( just 20 mins ago ;) . And
now IE is finally behaving as it suppose to be. So check to see if you
installed any programs that use adware in the background. That might
be where your problems are.
Hope it works for ya'll :)
