Binary Behaviors - Exception "Access Denied" when getting the Element Defaults

I have implemented a working binary behavior in C#. I can do custom
painting etc.
painting etc.
However, i cannot get the Element Defaults of the current
IElementBehaviorSiteOM2. (behaviorsite.GetDefaults()). On that line i
get the unauthorizedaccessexception "Access Denied".
As i already can paint and change stuff on the element, i dont see why i
cannot get the defaults.
