What is the main difference between an Element Behavior using ViewLink and a
DHTML scriptlet embedded using an OBJECT TYPE="text/x-scriptlet".

IMHO both technologies embed a "stand-alone" DHTML object in the main
document DOM. Obviously, different routines are used to communicate, pass
parameters and events, but essentially, it's the same thing. or not?

I think they are simply different ways to achieve the same thing in most cases.

Everything I have read suggests that Scriptlets is the older technology, an
MS early attempt at what behaviours have become. Behaviours are the newer
technology.
