Does the "font-variant: small-caps" directive WORK?

I mean it just transforms the text to upper case no matter what font family
I give (I've tried about 50 of 'em). I guess it looks for the physical font
in small caps and as it doesn't find any, it just turns the chars to upper
case.

If I'm not mistaken (as stated in the docs for "font-variant"), IE 4 was
doing the right thing. That is transform the current font into virtual small
caps, like Word does for instance.

The best thing is that Netscape 6 works like a charm :)
Any clues?

Thank you,
Dan

Microsoft got around to supporting it correctly only in IE6 Windows and IE5 Mac.
