xml attributes and css

Is there a way to use an attribute selector in CSS with IE? Example:

Foo[bar='XXX'] { CSS goes here}

works in Netscape 6.0 on an xml element Foo when attribute bar='XXX'

That's the CSS2 feature called "Value Matching". If that is not available in
IE5.5, it would be in IE6, just be patient. By the way I was looking what
technologies the new IE6 would support. I was choked when I first saw "CSS1
and DOM Level 1"!!!
The current IE5.5 supports CSS2 and DOM Level 2.

Isn't this a step backward???

Not a step backwards, as it's *full* CSS1 and DOM1; and a large proportion
of CSS2/DOM2 (and maybe level 3)

Depending on your sources, there is no complete CSS1 implementation as yet.

Attribute selectors are NOT supported in IE6 (at least not in the beta).

IE5.5 supports SOME CSS-2 and SOME DOM-2, it doesn't fully support either.
It also doesn't fully support CSS-1 and DOM-1, so IE6 supporting them is a
step forward, not backward.

Hmm. So that means that IE6 will "fully" support CSS1 and DOM1, but will
also support "some" of the CSS2 (maybe even 3) and DOM-Level
2.....Interesting....

By the way IE5.5 had splendid new features like Filters, Popups, TextRange
etc (only supported by IE of course). Will IE6 have some cool new objects
too???
