Ok, first, please STOP yelling at me for breaching the subject. Yes, I
know CSS is preferred, however I can't use CSS to do what I want. I want
to setup a basic two column format for my website where the left-most
column automatically extends in height to match the height of the right
column. The content of the left column will be fixed whereas the right
column's will vary greatly - among other things it will contain DB
results. (Maybe here I should ask the question...)
Would a page with nested tables be standards compliant?

(BTW For the empty space below the left column content where the content
ends, I want to do a color down the length of the page to the bottom of
the right column.)
