Alternate printing in IE5.5 + with frames

Hello,

I have a frameset which includes a page with an alternate print link.

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" media="print"
href="/document/print.html">

In IE5.5 and IE6 the alternate document is not being printed, but
instead it print's the whole frameset (IE versions which support the
alternate media link, prior to IE5.5, work all fine).

If I move the <link> to the document containing the frameset, the
correct page is being printed.

The frameset contains a 'static' menu on top which does not change
while browsing the website. But the lower frame pages change while
browsing the website and each have a different alternate print page.

How can I, except for dynamically changing the href of the alternate
link by using JavaScript on every OnLoad event of a page, use an
alternate link in each page and get it printed in the right way?
