Vertical alignment of navigational text and left navigation bar size

I have put my page to a test area at: www.abernet.info/test

I am going crazy trying to fix two things -

1. I want to move the horizontal text row 2 (line starting wish list) down
a few pixels as it sits too high up.
2. As you can see the left navigation background stretches too far. I've
tried playing with the height in the css but it makes it either too short or
too long. How can I get it to be just right?

I'll keep trying to fix this, but meanwhile would be so grateful if anyone
has any ideas. My css file is at
