Problem selecting text on plage using <div> tags

layout, but have problems selecting text on the page. In IE6, when i try to
select somethin, the selection starts from the top of that section of the
page, rather than just what i select. Its fine in Netscape 6. I assume
this is a common problem, and hopefully with an easy fix.
Anyone got any solutions for this? If its not so common, i can post some
code if needed.
And sorry for the crosspost, but there are far too many css/html related
newsgroups for what is needed!

I don't mind people who crosspost and say that they do: in your case, I
think your reasons are acceptable and you were justified. But, I wish to
tell you diplomatically that you could have edited what is called a
"followup-to" in your message so that all people replying to your post
would reply in a single group, not 4 groups.
Ok, regarding your question, I bet that your page has a div (or several
divs) which are absolutely positioned and/or dynamically repositionable.
The difficulty related to selecting texts, highlighting text in MSIE 6
is very often related to such texts being in an absolutely positioned
element. If that's the case, then I don't know of a fix for that.
If it's not the case, then I'd like to see relevant excerpts of code. An
url would be fine.

Ah right. I did have them positioned absolutely. However, i think most
will work with relative positioning, the stuff on the main page does, so it
seems to be alright now. Thanks for your help.

I thought it was preferred to have replies in all groups to which the
message is posted, then it keeps the conversation the same everywhere, so
anyone in any group reading it can see all replies and follow the entire
thread. Otherwise if someone was interested in the answer as well as me,
they'd have to subscribe to all of the groups to make sure they find the
full answer to my initial question. Maybe i was misinformed. Anyway,
thanks for your answer, you solved the problem.

How do I set follow-ups in OExpress 5.5? Besides, it seems that you do not
practice what you preach, because when I hit "reply" I still see all the
OP's original newsgroups listed in my "to" field. Perhaps you did this on
purpose, in which case I take back that sentence. Which leaves us with the
first sentence.

By uninstalling it and acquiring a newsreader, i.e. something that is
even minimally competent. Try Xnews or Gravity.

Do me a favour, wouldya? I tried setting the follow-up in OE5.5 by going to
"View" -> "All headers". Does it work? Did OE set the follow-up correctly?
