Does anybody know if it's possible to change the color of the SELECT
scroll bar using CSS, similar to changing the document scroll bar
color using scrollbar-base-color attribute?

Adam,
Unfortunately, Microsoft only supports "menu"
and "menutext" color attributes for your SELECT tag. You
might want to consider a DHTML menu "tree" (case in point:
the left frame of the newsgroup menu), this way you don't
lose out on the color scheme you've devised. Danny
Goodman's: The JavaScript Bible or Dynamic HTML: The
Definitive Reference are both excellent tools that will
give you some invaluable assistance in overcoming this
issue.
