Print Image full page, as big as possible on 1 page

Aloha, I am developing a site where users will be able to download
images (or, rather, display them in the browser) and am trying to find a way
where the images print out at the largest possible size, but not break up
into multiple pages. Currently I am just limiting the size of the pictures
to about 720 x 934, which seems to work on any browser I have tried, but
sometimes they are not as big as I would like. Perspective does matter, I
don't want to make a square picture rectangular. Any ideas/suggestions?
