Hi,

I looked for an IE6 programming newsgroup but couldn't find one, so I'm
posting here.

I think I have found a bug in the way IE6 deals with embedded fonts.

Normally when you specify a font for a page, any characters on that page
that are not supported by the page font are displayed with a default font
that does support them. For example, I think there is only a single font for
multi-byte asian characters when you install a language pack so that font is
always used regardless of the font specified.

However: when the page font is an embedded font suddently multi-byte
characters do not gracefully revert back to the supporting font, but instead
are shown as the box character.

Does anyone know anything more about this, or how I might work around this?

Thanks a bunch,
