Can I create a rule in OE 5.5 that applies IMAP-folders?

Unfortunately not - as it says on the Rules screen "Rules do not apply to
IMAP or HTTP accounts". Your IMAP server might allow for some basic rules
such as auto-response for vacations and forwarding to another e-mail
address, but that's about it.
