Word xml document appears to be downloading but not

Hi,

We have came across a strange behaviour. we are making a word document
at runtime and that word document contains barcodes images which are
also created at runtime.

The problem is when our customer tryies to download this word document
( which we write on response as word xml) the file download dialog
appears but nothing actually happens for hours.

Where as same code when we test on our local machines is working fine..

Not sure where could be the problem.

Please help....
