Hi,

when I type "www.someurl.com" into the location bar, IE changes the
locaiton bar to "C:\Documents and
Settings\.....\Desktop\www.someurl.com" and displays a "Page not found"
message.

However, typing "http://www.someurl.com" works just fine. How can I
make it so that I only need to type www in front of my urls instead of
teh full "http://www"?

Hi Joel,
you can type someurl and then Ctrl+Enter
as long as that is all you want because it will be entered at that point

Won't work because IE still needs to append HTTP and the registry settings
for *that* are incorrect.
