Hello,

there is a Microsoft Article with Article ID: 330338 concerning the
following problem
refering to service pack 1:
You receive multiple prompts because the certificate is not put in the
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) cache after you select the certificate.

Using WinInet from Visual Basic 6.0 on Windows XP service pack 2, I faced
the same problem. All attempts to solve the problem by bothering with
numerous combinations of WinInet API option flags were in vain.
At last I managed to overcome the problem using the fix for service pack 1:
add a registry entry CertCacheNoValidate

But to alter the registry within the Microsoft tree is no sustainable
solution.

Is there a Microsoft patch for service pack 2 available?

Kind regards
