I can't view any web pages using IE 5.0. I have tried downloading IE 6.0 w/
SP 1 but I get an error message that I am running a newer version and can't
complete setup. I use Windows XP with SP2. Somehow, I think my proxy server
settings got messed up but I don't know what settings to use. Currently
under Internet Options/Connections/LAN Settings, the only thing checked is
automatically detect settings. I use dial up if that makes a difference.
I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

If you have XP with SP2 then you do not have IE5.
XP does not use IE5.
You have IE6 SP2 already, as you should see in IE-Help-About
Uncheck the LAN settings and check with your ISP what (if any) proxy
settings you need but I cannot see why you would have anything checked
in LAN settings if you use dial-up.
