I am unable to enter any text into forms on internet explorer v5.0. (on
windows 98).
As you can imagine this makes using a search engine impossible. Radio
buttons and checkboxes work but when you try to enter anything into a field
or textarea, nothing. I even tried to cut and paste data in, no banana. The
address bar and everything seems to work fine and i don't think it's the
security setting, since i've tried turning that way down and it didn't help.
And it isn't the site either, since it doesn't work anywhere. Any idea's?

Try a proper newsreader.
You should also upgrade from IE5.
