Add-ons???
What operating system are you using?
What version of Acrobat?
Also, are you really using IE5?

Alan, no i am using ie6. And, Adobe Reader 5. I have disabled Adobe but
then I cannot open things i need. I have also tried closing my toolbars but
that doesn't seem to help either. The exact message I recieve is as follows:

Internet Explorer has encountered a problem with an add-on and needs to
close.
The following add-on was running when this problem occured:
File: pdf.ocx
Company Name: Adobe Systems, Inc.
Description: Adobe Acrobat Control for Active X

Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

You didn't tell me what operating system.

I suggest you post to an IE6 group with that information or post to an
Adobe forum.
