Hi,

My Documents folder is not being 'moved' to user's home folders even
after enabling folder redirection policy. My Document folder is only
copied accross and it takes long time for users to log on as the files
are copied across from their roaming profiles.
Any Hints ? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Have you created the home folder for the user prior to this? For example
you can create a folder for the user at \\fileserver\homeshare\user1. Make
sure you grant Full permission to the user in the folder user1.

Make sure you set the Folder Redirection\My Documents properties correctly
in the GPO and try again.

Hi Jude,

Yes the home folders were in place before group policy for foder
redirections was implemented. Home folders also have full permission
for the user.
My Documents initially used to be in the user profiles [roaming] but
after implementing folder redirection, I was hoping that files will be
moved to the home folders. Instead the files were only 'copied' so now
I have 2 copies of all user files and sometimes it takes a while for
synchronisation to complete at log on and log off.

Thanks,
