I have downloaded SUS on a windows 2003 server that is a
member of a domain called augusta. We are using AD
I have gone to the settings and entered the servername so
the clients can Know the name of the server.
I created a OU named software deployment and created a sub
OU under that named SUS.
I have created a group policy in the SUS OU to include the
WUAU.adm Administrative Template. I have included the
server name in the the template.
I right clicked on my test Work station from AD and moved
it into the OU called SUS. This means that I have created
a GP in the SUS OU and I added the workstation to the SUS
OU. Nothing seems to happen and the approved updtes are
not downloading to test workstation.
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong???

Has SUS worked in this OU for other computers, or is this the first one
you've tried? Be sure to run all the downloads related to SUS (I think there
are three, total, including one for updating the client and one for .adm
files). If you haven't loaded the client software on your test computer, it
won't get the downloads.

Best,
Chris

I'm having a similar problem and though I have not figured out what is wrong
I posted my question in another group and one Microsoft guy said to make
sure to link it to an OU that has computer objects in it. I was linking it
to an OU of users.
