GPO Comparison Tool

I am occasionally given GPO problems in different AD Forests.

Surely there is a tool for comparing GPOs against each other to pick up
where and when the issue may be.

I have done some looking and have found a few as part of other
software...but I am sure somewhere there is a straight forward utility
that does it.

Please make my life easier.

Most of the tools that I've seen to do this natively/easily are paid
products like NetPro's GPOAdmin.

A possibly quick-and-dirty way around it might be to export the two GPOs to
an XML file using GPMC, and then use a tool like windiff to pick up on the
textual differences in the XML files. Perhaps not the prettiest solution,
but it might work.

You could also save them as xml and use a tool like xmldiff which is
slightly cleaner than a text comparison.
