To promote ADC to Primary domain controller

Please explain detailed procedure How to promote ADC to Primary domain
controller?

In case of DC failure whcih will not come back online. Is it possible to
shift all FSMO roles of DC to ADC and restore DC and ADC enviornment again.

Do you have obly one dc or more. Please give more details about the setup
you have also the OS and SP. Also describe what happens that you need to
seize the FSMO roles.
