USB PnP Sound Device

I am running an HP DV9420US Laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate. Several things
don't want to work proper but the main question is that my desk top speakers
keep loosing their driver. I open Divice manager and it shows a problem with
the "USB PnP Sound Device". I try to update the driver and somtimes it works
and sometimes I have to go to the Control Panel and "Fix" the sound device.
The next itme I re-start or startup the computer I have to do it all again.
Any ideas?
